Delete your Budget Lightly account

You can delete your account here without downloading the app or waiting for manual approval. Deletion starts immediately after you confirm with your current password and cannot be undone.

What to do

Review what is deleted and kept.
Enter your password and confirm permanent deletion.

What is deleted and what is kept

Data	Deletion or retention
Account and access data	Account/profile, password credentials, sessions, memberships, associated invitations, and your FX quotes are deleted immediately after successful confirmation. There is no additional waiting or recovery period.
Budgets without other members	Permanently deleted in the same operation, including expenses, plans, and synchronization history.
Shared budgets and financial records	Kept for remaining members until they delete the budget. Your account attribution is removed. Shared text can still contain information entered by members.
Shared synchronization records	Historical changes are cleared. Scrubbed collaborator replay records remain while the budget exists.
Device copies and exports	Not remotely erased. They remain until the people holding those copies remove them.
Operational logs and previous correspondence	Not automatically erased. The current policy has no fixed deletion schedule, so logs and previous support or privacy correspondence may remain indefinitely, subject to legal requirements.
Previously submitted provider data, where applicable	Not erased by account deletion. See the privacy policy's service-provider section. Standard OpenAI abuse-monitoring logs have up-to-30-day retention, with the stated exceptions and separate storage lifetimes.
